John 1:12-13 Yet to all who received Him, to those who believe in His name, He gave the right to become children of God- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God

Your first privilege as a believer is that you are a child of God. God does not give birth as a human do but HE can adopt as human do. The right to children is the legal ground for your sonship. If you, therefore, receive and believe Him you are automatically His son. If you will let your lips speak of the authority of God placed in you then you belong to Him.

Privileges of being born again:

1.      You are a child of God not by decision of man or anyone

2.      You did not choose yourself to become a child of God but He chose you. John 15:16 says “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last. Then the father will give you whatever you ask in My name.” Your adoption by God is not by ordinary or human choice but by God’s divine choice. Your appointment is to bear fruit, not just fruit, but fruit that will persist and abound, meaning pass the test of time.

3.      You are blessed and cannot be cursed. John 1:16 says “From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” Anyone who receives Him will get blessing after blessing. So, where so some Christians see curses? If someone is cursed then such a person is not born again because there is no access to the fullness of grace.

John 1:17: “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ”

The word ‘Forclearly validates the next phrase after it from the previous statement in verse 16. Those in the time of Moses were under the law but with Christ there is grace.

Gal 3:6-9 “Consider Abraham: “He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. “ Understand, then, that those who believe are children of Abraham. The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you. “ So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

If you believe in God you are a child of Abraham by faith- you are joined to him by the umbilical cord of faith.  Abraham’s belief in God stood the test of time and it was credited to him as righteousness (right standing with God). You, as a child of God must have absolute belief in God without any iota of doubt so that you can obtain what God has released to His people through the loins of Abraham. God will justify all mankind and bless them through Abraham. Those who have faith are blessed (not cursed) along with Abraham.
